This  free consultation is generally done over the phone, though if you are phone call averse (relatable) we can also tackle this through e-mail or by meeting at a location away from your home. We can chat about your home and what your needs are and see if our approach would be a good fit for your family.

Discovery Call

Measurements & Photographs

Next I'll spend an hour or two walking through of your home and getting measurements and photographs of just about everything. This will allow me to get started with your overall room arrangements, size and scale of furniture, natural lighting, etc.  Already have measurements? Shoot them over and the process will be a bit quicker but I'll still need to come photograph!

Next I will create a basic plan for each room in your home using a bird’s eye perspective. I will clearly explain each room's purpose (or two). You will be able to review at your leisure and we'll meet to discuss. While you’re reviewing, I will work on creating a few colors/textures/fabric combos based on our discovery call, your home's lighting, and your current furniture pieces.  In the chance that you don't love what you see, we're happy to offer up to two revisions.

Layout & Mood

Once you’ve given the go ahead with the overall plan and colorway preferences, we can move in two different directions

1. Conceptual Design Only - We will provide you with a detailed room plan for each room in your home. This would include furniture and decor placement and size/scale. I will also be available through text/e-mail for the next two weeks as you source your pieces, have any additional questions, need help sourcing contractors, etc. We also love to "shop around the house first" so I will note where you can use your current pieces in the plan. You'd be surprised how many pieces you may already have hidden in the attic or basement used elsewhere in your home. This will serve as a roadmap for you to complete and install yourself or for you to share with your contractor.

2. Conceptual Design + Sourcing + Final Touches - I provide you with above but am also there to help source and install any additional furniture/decor items that you need as well as connect you with contractors. We will need to sit down and create an overall budget and timeline for purchases. You’ll receive an itemized list of furniture/decor at varying price points and I will also keep an eye out at FBMP/thrift stores/etc. for the duration of the project.

The Whole House:  We believe the easiest way to organize your home is by looking at it as a whole entity and not with the room by room approach that we focus on in our design services. We will provide a one-hour in home consultation where we make our roadmap of how to organize your entire home. Then we will get the plan rolling as we work side by side for up to four hours on any area of your home that's causing you stress or chaos. We will figure out what we'd like to purge and offer guidance on how to best do so (donation, consignment, recycling, or discarding) We'll also discuss options for containing what's left. The end result will be visually pleasing and most importantly, easy to maintain. It's like home design for all of your "stuff" and ensures that everything has a place of it's own.

The Trouble Spot:
Not ready to commit to the whole house or have one specific area that is driving you crazy? We can come in and handle the organization from top to bottom, or you can send us a photo and we can give you back a blueprint on the best course of action.

Home Organization

Elsie de Wolfe

What is the goal? A house that is like the life
that goes with it, a house that gives us beauty
as we understand it-- and the beauty of a nobler
kind that we may grow to understand.
